Major surface antigen p30 (SAG1) induces significant levels of p30 antibodies in all patients with toxoplasmosis. It has been described in the literature that this 30 kDa protein has the capacity to carry out the serological analysis of Toxoplasma infections.
As some human normal sera contains IgG antibodies against mannan from various pathogenic Candida species, they can interact with the CCD structures of the proteins produced in Pichia pastoris. With addition of this sorbent, the anti-CCD antibodies will be kidnapped, and the specificity of the assay will increase.SOR0001
