The recombinant antigen p41 of 14 kDa is an internal fragment of the 41 kDa-flagellin protein, the major constituent of the endoplasmic flagella. The flagella are contained within the outer envelope of the spirochete, and therefore flagellin is not readily exposed on the surface of the microorganism. However, the first antibodies detected soon after the onset of Lyme disease are specific for the 41-kDa flagellin.

SHIPPING AND STORAGE CONDITIONS
Proteins will be shipped with dry ice or lyophilized. Upon arrival (if liquid), or after reconstitution (if lyophilized), they should be stored at -20ºC to -80ºC. Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles
The protein will remain stable for four years if stored frozen
The protein is immunoreactive against seropositive individuals to Borreliosis or Lyme disease
