Recombinant antigens
Tpp47
for Treponema pallidum
Tpp47 is one of the major antigenic components of the bacterium Treponema pallidum, with a molecular weight of 47 kDa. It triggers an early humoral response three to six days after infection. The Tpp47 antigen has been reported as a potential market for active syphilis disease, as anti-Tpp47 IgM have been detected in patients with congenital syphilis.
