Babesia gibsoni

ChimBg is a recombinant chimeric antigen of Babesia gibsoni formed by several antigenic determinants obtained from some some GPI-anchored proteins of this parasite. These GPI anchored proteins have been described to have multiple antigenic epitopes, suggesting their high potential as diagnostic markers.

Recombinant antigen for the diagnosis of Babesiosis (or piroplasmosis), an animal infectious disease (mainly dogs).
